The Retirement Plan Company is the same today as it was yesterday. We have an experienced team serving wonderful clients. Our passion to serve clients and grow our business is unchanged. We offer all of the services today that we did yesterday and we hold all of the same values. Our leadership team remains intact and the mission that they are being asked to accomplish continues.
In all substantive ways, TRPC is what TRPC was. Yet there has been a quiet change. We are excited to share the news that US Retirement Partners (USRP) has become the new owner of TRPC and TRPC Service Team in India. USRP’s announcement of the acquisition can be viewed on their website here.
What does the change in ownership mean? It will, as intimated above, be virtually unnoticeable to the outside world except to the extent that we will be adding new services – primarily in the governmental and education sectors – because of our USRP affiliation. John Kopra will remain as President and CEO and expects to continue in that role for years. All of our services will continue and our outsourcing business to other TPA and recordkeeping firms will remain as a key growth opportunity for us. Our daily trading and recordkeeping business will see tremendous growth over the next year as we add many existing USRP clients.
USRP was interested in TRPC for several reasons. We have been successful in our industry and have been growing quickly, and we have an excellent reputation and an excellent staff. USRP is not already in the recordkeeping business, but instead outsources a large amount of recordkeeping business to another provider. Owning TRPC allows USRP to keep their entire offering “in-house”. And, USRP believes – as TRPC does – that we have a very bright future ahead and that we will grow our business at an even faster rate.
BW Benefits, our insurance company affiliate in Dayton, OH, is now also part of USRP. USRP has a large employee benefits division that is a perfect match for BWEB. The same attributes that attracted USRP to TRPC interested them in BWEB.
Affiliating with USRP allows our team members and our clients and business partners to know that TRPC will be here for the long-term. We look forward to the next several years filled with optimism of what we will all accomplish together.
